Today we give honor to the following women because of their achievements in the music industry: Albertina Walker, the Queen of Gospel; Dorothy Norwood, the World’s Greatest Gospel Storyteller; Dottie Peoples, the Songbird of the South; Etta James, one of the most dynamic singers in music; Lena Horne, an American singer/actress/civil rights activist/dancer; and Atlanta Native Mattiwilda Dobbs, an internationally known opera star. You will hear a short Bio of each of these ladies by various choir members during our program so please pay close attention... the answers to the quiz within your programs are included in these Bios.
