Each LWSC Club was challenged to decorate either a Christmas Wreath or a Christmas Tree for the Holiday Festival of Trees. Catherine Alaman, Betsy Byrd, Sue Shannonhouse (Chairperson), and Mildred Williams volunteered to take on the task of decorating the Choir's Christmas tree. They did such an excellent job that our tree placed 2nd. Naomi Taylor volunteered a tree for the choir but unfortunately it was unable to be used.

The sad thing about Christmas decorations is that they must come down after the holidays are over. Catherine and Lloyd Alaman took on the task of taking down our tree.

November Choir Events

The LWSC Choir has been invited to perform at the Dekalb County Board of Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Two MARTA buses have been secured for our transportation there and back and the cost to ride is $3.50 per person. Please plan to arrive at the Center by 7:30 a.m.; buses will leave promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Attire for performance: All Black.

Choir Updates

We had a great spirit-filled rehearsal on Thursday, October 29th. Songs rehearsed: Wade in the Water, I Am Blessed, and God Will Open Up the Windows of Heaven.

Our next choir performance will be at the LWSC Fall Festival on Wednesday, November 4th. We may be singing downtown Decatur at one of the Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, November 17th. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
