This was an incredibly festive and beautiful program. Elayne Hunter, Our Mistress of Ceremony, was excellent, as usual, as she presided over this event. If you were not in the Christmas Spirit before this program, you truly should have been by the time it ended.
Songs sang by the LWSC Choir:
Amen
Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child
Call Him Emmanuel
Silent Night
Hallelujah
We are the Lou Walker Senior Center Choir, and we call on God to give us power. To sing words of spirit and of grace And to lift up souls that are in this place. ~Verse from the Lou Walker Senior Center Choir Song written by Lloyd & Catherine Alaman, Music arranged by Helen Smith~

LWSC Choir at the LWSC Fall Festival
Photos courtesy of freelance photographer Gregory L. Towns
Choir participation at the LWSC Fall Festival on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, was great! The total number of choir members present is unknown but it appeared to be the greatest turnout ever! The performance began with the Choir entering the Victory Room singing the LWSC Theme Song which was written by Lloyd and Catherine Alaman, President and Vice President of the Choir. The music to the theme song was composed by the musician for the choir, Helen Smith.
After marching in, the first selection was, "I am Blessed", with Elouise singing lead. Next up was Edward leading, "Wade in the Water", followed by Lloyd leading, "God Will Open Up the Windows of Heaven". That song was to be the Choir's last but a request was made for one last selection. The final song was, "God Is", with Maudell and Lloyd singing lead. After this selection, the choir exited the Victory Room singing the LWSC Theme song.
What a day! Many, if not all, choir members left that event feeling inspired!
