We are the Lou Walker Senior Center Choir, and we call on God to give us power. To sing words of spirit and of grace And to lift up souls that are in this place. ~Verse from the Lou Walker Senior Center Choir Song written by Lloyd & Catherine Alaman, Music arranged by Helen Smith~

LWSC Choir's Performance at Dekalb County Scam Jam
Monday was wonderful! If you missed it, the choir was invited to perform at the Decatur Recreation Center for 'Scam Jam', an informative seminar courtesy of Dekalb County Government. We were given safety tips and much needed information geared toward keeping seniors safe. Many thanks to all of you who were able to make it. Excellent participation! Thanks to one of the guys snapping pictures at the event for using my camera to capture these pictures of us.

God Is
Verse 1
God is my protection.
God is my all in all.
God is my light in darkness.
God, God is, He is my all and all.
Verse 2
God is my joy in times of sorrow.
God, God is my all and all.
God is my today and tomorrow.
God, my God is my all and all.
Chorus
God is the joy and the strength of my life,
He moves all pain, misery, and strife.
He promised to keep me, never to leave me.
He's never ever come short of His word.
(I've got to) fast and pray, stay in His narrow way,
I'll keep my life clean everyday;
I want to go with Him when He comes back,
I've come to far and I'll never turn back.
God is, God is, God is, God is,
God is my all and all.
God is the joy and the strength of my life,
He moves all pain, misery, and strife.
He promised to keep me, never to leave me.
He's never ever come short of His word.
(I've got to) fast and pray, stay in His narrow way,
I'll keep my life clean everyday;
I want to go with Him when He comes back,
I've come to far and I'll never turn back.
God is, God is, God is, God is,
God is my all and all...
God is my all and all...

Picnic
Photos courtesy of freelance photographer James T. Steger
The Choir Picnic was a hit... loads of fun... lots of food... If you missed it, you missed a treat. Unfortunately, the group photo was taken after some choir members left. Hopefully we will be able to take another group photo with all choir members in attendance.
More pictures from the picnic will be posted on our Blog during the next few days so check back often. Click on any picture to get a closer view.
